Re: Who's here?

Hello to all the newer people who have joined the Forum in the last few months. Don't be afraid to ask questions. On the personal side - on Tuesday I will be having a triple-bypass surgery. I am making plans to be able to get my turns done while recovering from this pretty serious procedure. So in l...

Re: Year One summary

Maybe Lomn will do a Turn 25 summary. But I'm just thankful to have a GM running this thing. Best fun I've had in years (gaming-wise).

Favorite book (So far) of 2015

For those of you out there that still read books, my favorite book I've read this year was 'The Martian' by Andy Weir. It has been out for a few years but really gained an audience at the beginning of this year. It has been in the top 20 bestsellers for most of the year and deservedly so. Great paci...

Re: Railgib Hegemony - The Price of Density
I've mostly been hoping that he would hit EL4 before using them to start shooting at the other players so that I can handwave the discrepancy away.
I'd be real happy and relieved to hold the Bsg back until EL 4 and have to do a cheap refit 1 turn (Double Maint. Cost) at my...

Re: Railgib Hegemony - The Price of Density

in fact I wouldn't have expected a Ga ship with ammo to run outbefore the fighting was over Once the magazines go, you are on a ammo count-down of 10 turns. Looking back over your designs . . do you really have mobile bases? See my rage-ish remark about Mobile bases here: http://www.starfiredesign....

Re: Railgib Hegemony - The Price of Density

why couldn't your faster/agiler ships get in his blind zone and just finish him off? The missile volleys seem made to penetrate my meager Shields and Armor and knock my ships down to slower speeds. It is also why I had high hopes for the rematch, my second fleet more and faster vessels; but then my...

Re: Railgib Hegemony - The Price of Density

This is my best look at the Berserker vessels I have run across with the Railgib. The first vessel is the single one I found first, the second is it's new partner. Strangely, they are different. But they stayed close to each other during my latest battle, Which didn't go so good for my guys. The inh...

Re: Who's here?

How did 'Tokyo in Tulsa' go. Any Starfire stories?

I'm an Anime fan so if anything great was shown, I'd also like to hear about that as well.

Oh and pics of hot chick in Cosplay costumes are always easy on the eyes, ;)

Re: Economic Health

One could always devise at table using your die10 that could be better distributed by rolling twice to get a 2-20 bell curve, or as a percentile die to get (up to) 100 different results. I understand that means rolling twice (or owning 2 D10) but it gets rid of the limiting factor of tables with onl...
