Shapeways sale until the end of the year

Postby Cralis on Wed 21 Dec 2016 03:22

Right now Shapeways has a site-wide sale with 20% off of Frosted Detail and Strong & Flexible Plastics. If you haven't tried the Starfire miniatures or miniatures from Shapeways, this is probably one of the best deals you can get.

"From now through the end of the year, save 20% on all orders in Frosted Detail and Strong & Flexible plastics with the code FAREWELL2016"

You can find our shop at http://www.shapeways.com/shops/starfire

We also have our "QSR Packages" with the miniatures used in our Quick Start Rules, these are exceptionally priced packages for much less than buying the individual miniatures. Each package comes with a cruiser and two destroyers for each of two different races from the Classic Starfire background. You can see those at http://www.shapeways.com/shops/starfire ... ckages&s=0

Haven't seen the Quick Start Rules yet? Built specifically for new players, the QSR comes in three parts of a few pages each, each with a little more advanced rules on the basics of the Starfire tactical combat system. We even have a QSR for miniatures. You can find them for download in the Starfire forum at viewforum.php?f=96

Have already decided that any Christmas cash is going to finally acquiring the minis I've talked about getting for a year or more.
Screw the rivets, I build models for atmosphere, not detail

I'll be honest. I might have bought a couple extra datagroups...! Actually, I also bought a couple of the larger ships because the 20% off adds up fast.

A long time ago in a suburb far away, I started to try to build a pair of Terran SD out of giant plastic pearls and 1/35 scale tank mufflers. Never finished and yet still have them. And even know where they are! :D
Something tells me the ones from Shapeways will have more surface detail than these ever would.
