And if you look at the back near the fin-things, you can see that the upper part does an interesting swoop inwards.

However, it's going to look very snazzy once I'm done. It will be quite satisfying.

My apologies for taking so long to read and respond, I've been really sick this weekend. I figured I'd get a lot done this weekend since I had friday off, but I got sick friday afternoon and have been completely out of working order since.

Anyway, I shared the hull outline you posted last week. It's up on the Starfire Facebook page at https://m.facebook.com/starfireboardgam ... boardgame/

I can't wait to see how it turns out!

Do we think the KON Prokalhon BCV is a refit of the Littniek? Or maybe the Parzh II?

I don't see any indication from the story that the Prokalhon is a refit, although the fact that there is only one such ship does make more sense if it was a refit.

Based on the shields and armor values, mounted weapons, and the actual organization of the ship's systems; it looks to me to be closer to the Littniek-class then anything else. That and the Parzh II class doesn't show up in the order of battle until the next year...

Good enough. I'll make the Prok a simple refit of the existing KON BC miniature, and devise some new hull form for the true KON CV and CVL.

Regarding the TFN CVL, perhaps just a shorter CV with some slightly different wings? That will certainly save design time.

And I think you're right that this is how the KON would have done it. A lot of their designs seemed to be refits with a new spread of weapons.

If you decide later to make the KON SD(V), however, that is not a refit. It became a ubiquitous KON design.

Shorter prequel to the Essex? I definitely could see that.

Next designs will be KON CV and CVL, ISW 3 era.

As the Orions built steadily larger ships, their "idiom" changed to include more curved elements and the disks.

Since the CV and CVL were constructed after the SD, they will look more like small SDs than cruisers, their closest neighbors in terms of size. I may incorporate MT design elements, as well.

I blame the influence of the Gorm... in fact, I think the Gorm are who helped the KON get it's act together in terms of fleet design philosophy.

Can't wait to see all of them!
