I'll see Vandy's large moon article and raise him a sort of technical article on the influence of large Jovian worlds on inner Terrestrial planets' orbits--both their eccentricity and their inclination to the ecliptic plane.
In closing, all I have to say is: Shield, Shield, Shield, Armor, Armor, Armor, Hold, I-drive, Missile Launcher...
