This is a recent article that is about a theoretical antenna that may allow a communication with craft re-entering the atmosphere. It's interesting, but I find it even more interesting for a different reason.

It really illustrates the reason why recent versions of Starfire have a separation between SL research and Tech Item research.

From the article:

"Still, Gao cautioned that this finding is only a theoretical prediction."


"The researchers do not plan to build such a hypersonic communication system themselves. "We hope engineers from all over the world can solve this problem by using our approach,"


What these guys did was SL research. Now they are hoping someone else does the tech item research. Beautiful.
