Well, like I said here previously, I've already scanned my copies. But I would like to see a new text file version formatted like the Solar Starfire PDFs. All 3 books are probably only about 20 pages total if you format them to letter size.
F - is the Fire that rains from the skies
U - for Uranium bomb!
N - is for No survivors...

I have the original booklets and I don't think time has been kind to those rules.

It would be better to keep the same 20 page limit and make a new game maybe sell it with miniatures like the X-wing game.

Time is never kind to the good games, they are played too much.

Ahhh.... sssshhhhh... We need to bring the original rules back first. ;-) (hint...hint...)

It'd be nice to have them on the computer so I don't need to cart the booklets around.

Sounds like a winner.

Not only has Amarillo Design Bureau done this with all the Star Fleet Battles games - including releasing the redundant first pocket game which is covered again in the Designers edition, but in my view "any money is better than no money" which is what Starfire D.B. makes on the first games now.

While they're at it, I'd say I'd take scans of 2nd edition, and New Empires for teh ADB's price of $10 each.

So I don't see how one can lose. It would generate more interest in the system overall, and probably lead others into the more recent editions. Might even spark a revival!
