Hallo!
I've done some more work on the sheet. Additionally, I have ported over the entire deWulf empire to the sheet. Seeing as how my own empire is the one that uses the most stuff out of all the ones I have around, this is effectively my stress test.
Needless to say, the spreadsheet failed. And in doing so, pointed out some more glitches. Some were CFN, others were in the lookup tables that existed to pull ship information.
They have been crushed. As a result, I'm prepared to ID this as a "Stable, functionally complete release" and I do not believe it has any more core, critical issues that need repair. CFN shipping works (as does colonization) but hazardous pools are not yet re-enabled (but then this isn't mission critical). Some of the more advanced lookup features are also non-functional, but in time they will be enabled (allowing more automation).
I also had a bit of an epiphany a while back, and it may, and i mean -MAY- be possible for me to enable non-T/ST races in the spreadsheet. I'll need to get seriously under the hood of the entire planets page, as it'll mean a complete overhaul. Additionally, it will possibly necessitate moving to the Office 2007 file format (to gain access to some more data sorting commands). HOWEVER, it WILL NOT NEED MACROS. Assuming my little epiphany works.
Anyhow, update is available at:
