Currently there are two FTP sites that support Starfire. The Official SDS FTP site is available at http://ftp.starfireonline.com/ and Matthew Seidl's FTP Site is available through www.wraith.com/seidl/starfire     Files available for download from the SDS site are kept updated on a regular basis and contain many helpful items. Files available through Matthew Seidl are more varied and are generally much older. You can access the top directory at www.wraith.com/seidl/starfire, or each section through the web links below.     Some types of things on Matthew's FTP site,    Starfire Mailing List Archives - from December 1994 to present day.    Maps - Maps of the official Starfire histories.    Starfire/ISF Rules - Updates, Optional, and House Rules.    Ships - List of official ships from the Starfire Products.    Software - Shareware and Assistant Programs.    Reports - of released products.    The Official SDS site contains, as of Dec 20001,         For Galactic Starfire    the following: errata, spreadsheets, Forms, questions and answers, Conversion from 3rdR to GSF edition document, Table of Contents and Index, technology tree, tidelock results guide, Training scenarios, Player Race creation guide, and SAW ships (for Shipyard) as they might have converted to GSF            For 3rdR/SM#2 Map of known space throughout the 3rd edition histories     A number of computer programs also exist including NAMER.ZIP (a Star System naming program), GALAXY42.ZIP (a GSF galaxy creation program -- out is easy to read text), GSF utilities (includes another system generator and a NPR generator).    There are also a number of stories for download on the FTP site.    Back
