Looks like my take on the ecology fits then. I'm going with similarities to late Permian Earth for the flora and fauna. Overall climate will be close to Holocene optimum conditions. Given that the Cerulean ocean is limiting landmass size on the Eden facing side of Nova Terra I'm going to keep the fauna relatively small. The largest land animal I've got is about 3 meters total length including tail. Maximum weight is probably about 150 kg.

Nice stuff. To provide a bit of help, a quick look in ISW4 says for the system of "Proxima Centauris"
Code: Select all
Planet     Radius/Radian     Type/HI
#1         5/2               V
#2A        7/11              T/8     Nova Terra
#2B        (4/8)             T/6     Eden
#3         9/9               O2
#4         13/5              O2
#5         21                Asteroids
#6         37/8              G
#7         69/2              G
#8         133/11            I
#9         261/9             I
Planets 2A and B tide-locked.
Warp Point #1, Type: 1-500, Radian/SH: 8/30, Destination: Sol

If this info is in some way classified, I'll edit it away (or Cralis can).

I'm going to stay closer to the description in IDG and Shiva. The warp point data matches my plan but due to Alpha Centauri B's orbit the A component couldn't have the gas giants in the stated orbits. The ice planets are going to orbit the binary's center of gravity so their positions work. I never did purchase the 3rd ed products that Marvin published after he bought the license from Task Force. My other minor change is to move the planets out about 2-3 LM from what's in the data sheet. Given Alpla Centauri A's size and luminosity a T planet at 7 LM would likely have supertropical conditions. From what feedback I've gotten New Atlantis island has a subtropical climate whith vegetation more primative than Earth's.

Chapter 1 is complete. I'll start posting Chaper 2 this evening. Hermes and Galicia will meet in Centauris. Galicia will return and Commander Silva will deliver his report to Admiral Waldeck.
