For section V, I am likely to make an extremely simplified version of V3 and V4. Something on the order of spend money, allocate CFN shipping, and get the planet in some random number of turns depending on spending.

Maybe that is what already Matt did. I am not sure.

Now that I am retired, I have been toying recently with the idea of running a Solar Starfire campaign.

This campaign would be particularly unique in a number of ways...

You are so tempting me to finally take the plunge into Solar...

Starfire,

Interest is piqued. Considering that I do a little fiction on the side (although only shared among friends) I would enjoy the challenge to pair the fictional development of a race in its outward expansion. I will pm to you my idea of the race soon (want to think of a few more details) and hope that it fits the criteria. I will admit I don't have a lot of experience with campaigns. I have played many a quick start game among local friends.

Thoughts for those thinking about usual races.

HGT as a homeworld??? I.e do not limit yourself to starting on that boring T3 world.

K3 is available.........maximize your races advantages and minimize the weakness!!!

Galactic Oddities - YES

Rosetta Planets????? Maybe....

Short cuts anyone -- Nearby Star System Oddity

Maybe you found an Ancient Artifact in your home system....

There are LOTS of possible oddities, I will let you read them to tweak your creative juices.

I thought I had posted earlier, but aparently not.

It sounds like this is a great idea! Very interesting, but I suspect you require a player to be familiar with the game system rather than a beginner?

I can't speak for Marvin, but the one person that must understand the game is the Gamemaster. For everyone else, the game can be explained as long as you are willing to read the rules yourself. The sections on how to set up a player empire are pretty clear and easy to understand, especially with the excel spreadsheets.

Thank you.
Do you have a link to these spreadsheets perhaps?

Furthermore, how much quality of writing is required? I am far from an author. Just lean on my skills as a dungeon master mostly. :)

This is the version available on the downloads forum. I don’t know if Marvin is going to use this or a custom one, but they will be very similar. You can look at this one to start learning.
