Events
The first Richland class CL is delivered to the Navy, it is placed into the Reserve Squadron at Columbus.
With the addition of CL class sized units to the Navy some new building needs to take place. To stay within Navy guidelines we will need to build 2 more CL's of the Richland class, 1 new DD of a mixed SRW/LRW type and 1 new FG of a SRW only type. The Allen CT class will be regulated to the System Defense Forces and/or mothballed as needed once the new fleet structure is in place.
Survey Group probes WP5 out of Kentucky and discovers the Idaho system. The Idaho system is the first binary system discovered by the Buckeye Republic. The star types are a White and a Red. The odd thing about this binary system is that there are no asteroid belts in the system while theory states that binary systems should have more asteroid belts than single star systems. The planets around both stars are rather pedestrian, 1x H, 4x V, 1x B, 2x G and 1x I. The number of moons in the system are also small, 4x mH, 6x mB and 5x mF.
Survivable Body survey is finished around component A (White) in Idaho. Results in 1x N (mH) and 3x VR (2x mH, 1x B).
Warp Point survey is also started in Idaho as another portion of the Survey Group heads to Component B (Red) for the Survivable Body survey for those worlds.
No research successes this month. The government is beginning to think the team developing the improved laser (Lb) is slacking as they have been working on development of the item for 9 months now with no success. If success is not forthcoming an investigation may be needed.
The Ship Design Bureau is working on new SRW FG and mixed DD designs to fit into the new fleet guidelines but they are held back by the "imminent" completion of Lb development work.
A new design for a LRW CA class unit is also on the books now but the prototype cost for this unit is over 1000 MC so construction is held back for now. It will also take 8 months of construction time to complete at current build rates.
A couple of FT4 class auxiliary designs are also created, one containing a (SYM) module and the other a (MS) module. Further research is needed to determine which one would be more helpful at this time.

First off, the thread title is off.

Secondly you haven't reported REI for the H or the 4th mH, but five H-class bodies in the one system, sounds like a good find

Whoops. Topic title corrected.

SCC, I only completed the Survivable Body survey for component A of the binary. While that was going on part of the survey fleet was heading over to Component B to perform the survey over there.

It's actually a pretty blah system. Right now I'm not even considering colonizing Extreme worlds (most of which are Very Rich) because of the high emplacement cost. I've got plenty of cheaper places to send people to right now.
